Servers

HP has a commanding lead in Brand penetration with over 41% when combined with Compaq, and, 45% of the units installed share. IBM is a distant second in both categories and Dell at 9 and 8% is sneaking up on HP. Dell has proven that the direct to market model really Works well in this region. Indirect Channels still play a big role, but many of the End-Users that TUDLA talks to are enjoying the ability to purchase directly from Dell rather then having to navigate the sometimes complicated indirect channel process. Compaq is fairly evenly distributed across the sub-regions while HP is strongest in Mexico and when combined, the new HP represents 45% of the Server penetration there and 48% of the unit mentions.
